Went to a BBQ yesterday done 70's style, it was a ton of fun and people had
some great style. I didn't get that many pictures because unfortunately my phone died.

Hey baby, what's your sign?

Untitled Untitled Untitled Virgo
I just scored this zodiac belt buckle manufactured by Pacifica California, circa 1977; it looks just like the David Palladini Virgo print I got a few years back from a gallery in New York, this beauty was meant to be mine.

Hippy Dippy

Untitled
My recent crafting addiction has been trying to make these simple plant hangers; after making about 3 of them I finally got the dimensions right, I kept cutting the cord too short. I have a ton of jute now and I've been finding vintage wood beads from the 60's on Etsy, all for really cheap. If only my mom could teach me how to Macramé I'd be set. Now I just need to find some really nice heavy duty stuff so I can make one for my spider plant.

Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium

Untitled
My girlfriend in London sent me a message the other morning about a photo competition being of "Cats with Tea Cups". Being 8 hours behind I didn't have much time before the cutoff for the contest so while making my coffee I whipped up some tea and plopped it down in front of Meena and snapped a few pics. This morning I woke up to find out I am the winner! This place sounds so awesome,  next time I go to London I will be stopping by for sure. Here's some info taken directly from their Facebook page.

About:
A cat cafe in the heart of London http://www.indiegogo.com/LadydsCatemporium

Launching in 2013 in London's East end, Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium offers a warm, comfortable place where you can come and play, pat, and cuddle one of our many resident cats. You can sit yourself down by the fire, have a hot cup of tea or coffee, log on to our free wifi, read from our library or try to charm one of our delightful kitties. However you choose to enjoy Lady Dinah's, the most important thing is to relax and have a wonderful time. We're crowd funding to get this business up and running by April 2013. More information to come soon!

Crafting with safety pins

I found a photo last year of a guy in a white tee with this cross made of safety pins so I thought I'd try and replicate it. The first one I did came out kind of wonky but the black one I made the other night is pretty perfect. Next I'm going to do a white tank.

Face Stockholm

I'm completely obsessed with this brand, their color palette is amazing and the nail polish contains no DPT, Tulene or Formaldehyde. I plan on buying a whole bunch of this stuff. http://www.facestockholm.com/

Sunday Love

I made $300 on Etsy the past week and a half so I treated myself to this Pamela Love Serpent Ring; it's so dainty and edgy at the same time. I want to get another one and pair them together but I'll wait and see if I get some holiday money from the doctors at work.

Motorcycle, I Love You

Untitled Untitled
My friend and I missed this show Monday night because it was raining and we were both exhausted, I'm kind of bummed now. But the other day a friend sent me this bad ass 80's tee that had never been worn, I love yellow and butterflies, and motorcycles of course. I think my mom said one of my first words was Momo-cycle, here I am sometime in the 70's on one of my dads bikes.

Vintage Postcards

Untitled Untitled Untitled
Untitled So in keeping with my tradition of my Christmas cards being of my cat Meena; this year I wanted to make something that resembled a Victorian Postcard. I found some great clip art on various blogs and downloaded a few fonts, then created the cards in Photoshop. I even bought myself a caligraphy pen so they would look authentic, however my penmanship isn't the greatest. This was so much fun, I can't wait to come up with another one, maybe I'll do a vintage Halloween postcard for next year.
